UGA Women's History Month
March is Women's History Month and we would like to celebrate UGA women's studies 2012 theme "Women's Education - Women's Empowerment" by discussing the events occurring on this campus. This month is the time to celebrate the progress of the past and the prospects of the future for women everywhere. The Red&Black did an article discussing the 35th anniversary of Women's History Month on this campus while talking with Dr. Herles, assistant director of the Institute for Women’s Studies, who describes the importance of raising awareness and uncovering the history of women who still face many struggles and challenges in society.
